Today Charlie Kirk was murdered.
And America lost a true voice of reason, and America was severely wounded.
Yes, his beliefs were conservative, yes, he was a Republican, but unlike the evil, and there is no other word for the person or people responsible, he believed that the only way for this Republic to survive is to be open to real dialog.
How did this bright young man go from an 18-year-old to a true legend by age 31. He did it by LISTENING, by being willing to sit down and hold a real conversation with anybody, regardless of race, religion, gender, or political ideology.
Prayers to his family, and please know that we will miss him too.
Also pray for the future of our country because if we have come to the point where some of us believe that the only way to deal with a person, we disagree with is to assassinate them is so sad and pure evil.
