The Ignorance of Some Protesters

The laws of our land, better known as the United States Code (USC), are a comprehensive composition of the general and permanent laws of the United States, published by the House of Representatives. Every statute in the USC has been passed by both Houses (and amended whenever deemed necessary by those same bodies) and then signed by the President in office at the time.

It is the sworn duty of all agencies with policing powers to enforce those laws. Included among those policing organizations are Customs & Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE). So, understand first and foremost, they are doing the job they swore to do under oath.

So, if you:

• Overstayed your visa• Have a legally issued order by a U.S. court for deportation• Committed a crime here in the USA• Have an outstanding warrant from your home country or another country with whom we have an extradition agreement

...then the officers of the CBP & ICE are required to locate and deport you.

I was watching TV footage of the protesters in Charlotte yesterday. What an ignorant bunch—just hanging out, taking selfies, laughing, and acting like they are at a party. Most don't even know why they are there; they walk along reading their texts like a bunch of lemmings. Many of these protesters think that ICE & CBP have a choice, but it's not a choice—they are enforcing laws enacted by Congress.

Oh, by the way, just entering this country without documentation is illegal. Therefore, if in the course of finding criminal undocumented immigrants they also find someone who did nothing more than enter the USA illegally, they are duty-bound by the law to also deport them.
