The government shutdown is now 22 days of legislative malpractice, yet the main issue for the vocal Democrat Party hacks and the 'impartial' media is Trump's White House renovation. This grotesque spectacle of a $250 million ballroom is a monument to executive vanity, deliberately amplified by the so-called 'impartial' media.
Outlets like the Washington Post frame the construction as an "overreach," and MSNBC screams that Trump has "wrecked" the historic East Wing. This is phony outrage intended to deflect from the fact that 'Chuck The Schmuck is keeping the government close by refusing to approve the 'clean CR' that passed the House (something the Democrats have done 13 times during a Democrat Administration).
A political class evading responsibility. This is an outrage. I absolutely support that Members of the House & Senate should not get paid during any shut down, but it should go further. In any year that a budget is not approved 30-day priors to start of Fiscal year (that would be September 1st, the Members, their staff, the President and all members of the administration should not be paid. Once the government is reopened then the staff and member of the Administration will receive back pay but no back pay shall be given to Members of Congress & Senate, any Cabinet level Secretary, and of course the President.
