Why is Requiring Voter ID Racist?

Post Image
Did you know that 14 states and the District of Columbia do not require that you possess and show a picture ID to vote. Why am I focusing on this you ask, well today my wife went to buy a carton of cigarettes for my daughter's birthday (we've tried getting her to stop so many times but alas) anyway when my wife went to Murphy's to buy them, she was asked to show her driver's license. Now I am sure she was asked because Murphy's policy requires everybody regardless of age in order to protect themselves from being labeled discriminatory. Did you know that all 50 states have this same requirement. In a democratic republic such as ours the most important duty we have as citizens is to vote. We the citizenry elect our leaders, and the 15th Amendment guarantees us that right but according to the left we are racist if we require a voter to show a picture ID to prove who they are in order to do so. But nobody's screaming that it's racist to have to show a picture ID to do any of the following:following:

  • Adopt a pet
  • Apply for a fishing license
  • Apply for a hunting license
  • Apply for food stamps
  • Apply for Medicaid
  • Apply for Social Security
  • Apply for unemployment
  • Apply for welfare
  • Get on a plane
  • Buy a car
  • Buy a cell phone w/credit card
  • Buy a house
  • Buying alcohol
  • Donating blood
  • Execute legal documents
  • Get married
  • Obtaining a permit to protest or rally
  • Open a bank account
  • Picking up prescription medication
  • Purchasing a gun
  • Purchasing mature video games
  • Rent a car
  • Get on a train
  • Take a cruise
  • Rent a hotel room
  • Rent a house
  • Visit a casino
  • Cash a check

So, why is it that the left does not see any of these activities as racist, but casting your vote is?
